This is a single of a quantity of devices I have purchased for a variety of modestly sized security systems. I uncover the pictures during daylight to be great for the application (access and egress points) and the nighttime IR works surprisingly properly. I would commend these to a buyer who requirements 'bang for the buck', has some modest exterior application concerns (wind, salt air, rain). Would recommend a dome for snow/icy conditions.
Quick to install, operates from the moment it is plugged in, with no hitches, challenges, or problems. The elements are sturdy and I expect to use even more of these devices in the future. The 420 TVL deliver really good facial recognition, the color is really good, but the night capabilities are particularly decent for the number of IR LEDs.
I agree with Greg in Nashville. Everything appears just as well vibrant peachey for me to think that a lot of these testimonials are written by business reps. Although I do like the camera... , the resolution is extremely really good (not fantastic) during the day, the night vision isn't that fantastic. Also, I don't know how these individuals are recording with this camera (motion or otherwise). I tried it on two completely different systems such as my new Zmodo 8- Channel DVR and cannot record with it. I can take nevertheless shots but again, can not record. Other than that...., it really is a nice little camera for the cost. Bear in mind consumers...., you get what you pay for....... :-)
