I bought this camera to watch who is coming to my front door. It is practically no set up, just plug it into your Tv and go! You can also connect it to your computer if you have a DVR card.
This camera sees clearly the entire front yard, plus accross the street.Way much better then I thought it would be. I can see clear who is outside, in my front door, even at night. The camera has IR lights to see at night, in black and white. This camera is affordable, but operates superb. It deserves the ideal rating. I could not have been happier.
I purchased a DVR process from somewhere else that came with bullet style daytime color/blackwhite night vision cameras. But the camera angel was not wide enough for the location I wanted coverage on. This camera was my answer. It covered the complete front yard from a high point on a single story home. The video footage is on par or slightly much less that that of a standard video camera. Plus the viewing top quality was much superior that the cameras the DVR process came with (again I did not decide to buy the DVR Process at Amazon). Which to me is fantastic for the average single story budget strapped homeowner. I like how the housing covers the wiring to stop somebody tampering with it. It is significantly less noticeable than the bullet style. You can even paint the housing to match your residence color. General I was happy with the camera's performance price that I bought one other a single.
You may well will need added cables or adapters based on your setup use. I ended up needing a male BNC to Female Video RCA adapter to operate with my set up. Have fun!
