The Defender SN502-4Ch-002 is my initially DVR technique and for what it has really should be my final. It shops a months worth of video and the video is surprisingly great. On a 55" tv the good quality isn't much worse than what standard cable, implementing only the coax cable, would be. The color high quality is excellent. As far as the night vision I'm especially surprise on how well the night vision video. Occasionally I just like to turn to the dvr's channel to see if the pesky neighborhood cats are about. Let me just say that I put these systems in a lot for people and its not a poor small residence system. I like the capabilities that the DVR gives and it comes with every little thing you will want in a complete package. The cameras on the other hand were not a especially very good high quality. Throughout sunny days the cameras get washed out with to much light so its difficult to see anything from them. The IR use for the night time is better but nevertheless far from high top quality. Overall this is still a great technique and worth the price but due to the fact of the cameras only 3 stars from me.
