I read all the critiques prior to I tried this item. I am rather concerned and picky shopper. I believed I would give this a try. I believe the key to this product is the flooring you are making use of this on. The foot on the lock operates exceptional on title or wood. I would not recommend this item on carpet.
1 crucial point to keep in mind...the farther away you have the base from the door the much less strength it has. Try to get it in between 70 degrees and 80 degrees.
