Smart Hush Control enables user to quiet a nuisance alarm for up to 8 minutes. Power On indicator is lit green when operating on AC power. Interconnectable with up to 12 Firex and Kidde AC/DC smoke alarms. Red LED indicates which detector has sensed smoke. UL Listed. Ten year limited factory warranty. Upgrade for model i4618. NOTE: The Firex/Kidde i5000 is the replacement for the original Firex 5000, but the mounting plates and wiring connections are completely different.

These seem to work as advertised. I bought these to replace my Kidde KN-COSM-B Battery-Operated Mixture Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Alarm with Talking Alarms. My old alarms had been beeping... so I altered the batteries in them, but they kept on beeping. I did some study and learned that the smoke alarms that come with carbon monoxide detection will continuously beep just after about five years because they want to be replaced due to the carbon monoxide sensor inside the unit needing to be replaced. So... This time I purchased smoke alarms with out the carbon monoxide detection function. These will need to final ten+ years.
Invest in 4 of these as element of a set to replace existing 10 year old units. The swift connect harness made factors quite speedy and quick to install. The front loading battery compartment is convenient and assists make the unit look nice and distinctive.
