I've had my system for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that making use of greater excellent batteries than those supplied will mean changing them closer to as soon as a year. Not poor at all, offered that I don't have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they look somewhat tacky in my opinion. As an alternative, I got a couple extra motion detectors to offer total coverage of my house. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do pick up my four pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I haven't had any false alarms where I could not determine the result in. There have been various days where I forgot to disengage the program and walked proper by means of the motion detection field. Of course, I cannot blame that on the process.
Overall, I'd say this is an extraordinary technique for the price. The control pad looks kinda low-priced, so I didn't prominently display it in my house. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are very modest and unobtrusive. I've told loved ones and good friends that I have the alarm process and most of them didn't have any concept, as the detectors blend in incredibly properly.
Hi everyone, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine two days ago. I set it up yesterday. Considering the fact that the process comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only issue i had to modify was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been enough for me as that factor is as sharp as a needle. Since i have no pets and no children i have mine on high and it's good. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing around with but they are working fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode due to the fact the siren is extremely loud, my ears had been ringing all night just after i had tested it. Having said that i have great comfort being aware of i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i really feel i am in danger. It really is so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am extremely pleased with the system. I'm told this a newer model, i am not quite confident how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anybody could tell me the distinction that would be terrific. All in all i'm rather pleased with the technique and i'm giving it 4 stars given that of how sharp the motion sensor is and because the siren is incredibly loud. I sleep nicely at night....pretty well.
